CAPACITY CONFERENCES is proud to announce Capacity Africa 2014 dates are confirmed for 14 & 15 October 2014.  We look forward to seeing you in Dar Es Salaam.

Capacity Conferences would like to thank all of the 420 attendees, 20 sponsors, 10 exhibitors, 14 meeting room holders and 12 bilateral table holders for helping us make Capacity Africa 2013 so influential.

The event opened with the plenary session ‘Driving Capacity Distribution to Landlocked Countries; Commercial Strategies, Technological Solutions and Government Intervention’ that saw panellists debate the business opportunity in connecting landlocked countries. Mokgethi Nyatseng from TELECOM BOTSWANA began the discussion with the claim that landlocked African countries are a “goldmine waiting to be tapped”.

However, he emphasised the need to deploy the right infrastructure and to use it wisely to ensure the commercial rewards.

Charitable contribution at the event

For the second year running, Capacity Africa 2013 kicked off with the AMREF 5KM fun run, supported by LIQUID TELECOM. This year runners once again braved the African sun to raise money for this fantastic cause. We would like to thank all runners who were involved and everyone who showed their support. A special mention goes to Raul Martynek from MAAS TELECOM who won the race in record timing! Well done everyone and thank you for your tremendously generous donations.

The Networking Exchange

Over 60 delegates participated in the inaugural Networking Exchange session; a platform for attendees to connect and exchange business cards in quick succession. Delegates left the session with a range of potential new prospects and more business cards than they could carry!
