Exclusive speaker interview

Why did you choose to speak at Capacity Eurasia 2015?

Capacity Eurasia 2015 is a great networking platform to meet the major Eurasian C-level telecoms community. The panel discussions also provide an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas with the other executives and address this community with your views on the industry, trends and new business ideas.

Q) What are the topics you specialize in and what can we expect to hear from you at Capacity Eurasia 2015?

TTI has a state of the art network in a very unique geography, literally connecting the East and the West and we provide several services ranging from basic transport to advanced value added services. We intend to share our regional expertise, innovative and visionary strategies to provide unique wholesale telecommunication solutions for the region.

Q) Why should people attend Capacity Eurasia 2015 and what are you looking forward to gaining from the event?

Capacity Eurasia 2015 is a valuable event in the wholesale telecom arena where European, Middle-Eastern, CIS and Asian telecom mid and high level representatives meet. It provides an outstanding opportunity to hear the latest regional telecom trends, projects and innovations, find new business partners.

Q) What new developments are you expecting in the Eurasian telecoms market in the coming year?

I expect more content players moving into the region with their own network development activities. Also more local content in the region will be available to users versus international content. I also foresee more consolidation and partnership opportunities where countries with limited connectivity start enjoying more choices.

Specific to Turkey, considering its exceptional geographic location, Istanbul will become the next major data HUB in the region connecting East and West.

Q) What do you think are the main challenges for the telecommunications industry in the region?

Local telco players will further be pressured from global telco and content players as they continue to penetrate into the region with their own networks. The price erosion that has taken place in more mature markets will also reach the Eurasia region where competition will increase.
