Thank you to everyone who attended Capacity North America 2014 in San Francisco. This year we welcomed 258 attendees representing 127 companies including operators, vendors, ICT companies, Content and OTT providers, data centres and more, representing the North American and international telecoms and tech markets.

-> Co-opetition: Exploring an intelligent evolution: NTT COMMUNICATIONS, COGENT COMMUNICATION, LEVEL 3 COMMUNICATIONS, SQUARE, TELSTRA and CLOUDFLARE opened the conference with an interesting insights into the North American market, discussing strategies for a collaborative ecosystem which integrates content and application providers and operators.
-> HD MESSAGING: Monetising Traditional Services: IDT MESSAGING explored monetisation of mobile messaging and various methods of payment methods along with an interesting live demonstration provided by Rob Lawson, the Co-Founder of IDT Messaging.
-> The Internet of Things: Hype or opportunity?: 451 RESEARCH, AKAMAI, TELIASONERA INTERNATIONAL CARRIER, TELUS, SPRINT joined the great debate on IOT which looked into various technologies which will drive the future of IOT, including M2M, wearables and 5G implications on the industry.
-> Insights from 2014: IBM Telecoms Consumer Survey: IBM GLOBAL BUSINESS SERVICES provided the audience with the findings from their global consumer survey from over 22,000 consumers from 35 countries, looking into the validation of social networking, instant messaging, blogging and OTT applications and what opportunities these trends creates for the communication service providers.
-> Closing Q&A: Evaluating the state of the market: CDNETWORKS, VERIZON DIGITAL MEDIA SERVICES, IBM GLOBAL BUSINESS SERVICES. IBM rounded up the conference by discussing the changing landscape of the North American telecoms market, by assessing the latest technology innovations and outlining the most viable predictions for the industry in the near future.
