Data protection laws have been in place for over 10 years in Russia. However, the amendment made in September 2015 which states that data must be kept within Russia has impacted all international and local businesses. Despite data centres profiting from rising prices in data centre space, content service providers are now reluctant to enter the Russian market without understanding the ramifications. This workshop will be driven by legal experts & will offer perspectives from content service providers & data centres operating in Russia.
