In 2013 Capacity Media bought together 430 attendees, 12 sponsors, 29 exhibitors, 11 meeting room holders and 20 bilateral table holders to help make Capacity Russia & CIS 2013 a great success.
2013 saw an impressive 38 new companies attending, with increased representation from Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Moldova. 61% of attendees were Director-level and above with 17% at C-level, firmly establishing the event as the leading senior-level meeting for the Russia and CIS wholesale market.
Day 1: Introducing the Russian Content Market
The event opened with keynote presentations from leading Russian content companies. Alex Drobot, Business Development Director for MEGOGO.NET provided an exclusive insight into the opportunities and threats to the OTT video market in Russia and CIS, emphasising the need for unified solutions between operators and OTT players.
Day 2: Market Insight
Day 2 kicked off with a detailed insight into the markets of Ukraine and Mongolia. Ievgeniia Novikova, Director of Branch of Centralized Sales, UKRTELECOM began by establishing the commercial opportunities, regulatory and pricing situation in the Ukrainian market. This was followed by Dolguun Ulaankhuu, President, GEMNET who discussed the status of the Mongolian market, focusing on the developments of the United Transit Network of Mongolia.
Innovation Station 2013
The Innovation Station, taking place for the first time at Capacity Russia & CIS, was an initiative to facilitate progress, development and innovation in Russian wholesale telecoms. Structured as a competition to determine the most innovative new product, strategy or idea in the Russian wholesale industry, participants had 5 minutes on stage to impress the esteemed judging panel.
