Leonardo Barbero

Leonardo Barbero was named Level 3´s Product and Marketing Senior Vice President for Latin America after Level 3´s acquisition of Global Crossing in October 2011. As leader for the marketing organization in Latin America, he is responsible for the marketing and product strategy and for leveraging business growth throughout the region.

Leonardo Barbero has been Senior Vice-President of Products and Marketing for Global Crossing Latin America since September 2009.
He was responsible for the management and development of products as well as for pricing, strategic marketing and communications. 

Mr. Barbero joined the company in 1992 as Account Assistant for the Industries Business Unit, performing several positions within the commercial area for different market segments, until his appointment as VP for Connectivity services in 2000.

Further to Global Crossing´s acquisition of Impsat he undertook new responsibilities becoming Vice-president for Data and Internet Products, until his promotion for Latin America and the US.

Leonardo Barbero holds a degree in Electromechanical Engineering specialized in Electronics from the Universidad Belgrano; an MBA from the CEMA, the Advanced Executive Program of Kellogg – Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, and the Leadership Best Practices Executive Program of Harvard.
